Commonwealth Bank’s online banking service went down, leaving thousands of people unable to use their cards due to an ‘issue’.
Commonwealth Bank’s online banking service is back in operation after it was plagued with outages on Monday morning.
Commonwealth Bank said it had started to see services resume about 1.30pm.
“We continue to work towards fully resolving this issue.
If you continue to experience an issue please try inserting your CBA card into a payment terminal and use your PIN.
“If you only use your device to tap and pay, Cardless Cash is still available at CommBank ATMs.”
Earlier CommBank’s online services went down, leaving thousands of people unable to use their cards.
CommBank said it was due to an issue impacting cards.
“Credit cards, debit cards and some card settings may be unavailable right now,” it said on its website.
“Some payments may also be unsuccessful. We‘re working urgently to fix this as soon as we can.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
