Paramedics have been called to a go-kart racetrack after an accident involving a driver and a kangaroo.
A CareFlight helicopter has been dispatched to a speedway after reports a go-kart driver hit a kangaroo at racetrack near the Blue Mountains.
Just after 1pm on Sunday, NSW Ambulance crews were called to Lithgow City Raceway to respond to reports a teenager had been injured during a crash.
Paramedics performed an assessment at the scene and determined the driver had sustained a hand and wrist injury.
The CareFlight helicopter was dispatched just after 2pm as a precaution in case there was any chance of spinal injury.
The driver is in a stable condition.
The Lithgow City Raceway is a go-kart track located two hours northwest of Sydney in the Marrangaroo National Park, at Marrangaroo, just off the Great Western Highway.
