A manhunt has been launched on the Gold Coast after two men were found in a car park with gunshot wounds by a nearby citizen.

A manhunt has been launched on the Gold Coast after two men were found in a car park with gunshot wounds.

A nearby citizen discovered the men near the Coomera Square shopping centre in Upper Coomera after allegedly being shot just after 2.30pm on Sunday.

“Extensive police resources are in the area, with police believing those responsible may have fled in a vehicle,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

A crime scene has been set up, with the Courier-Mail reporting one of the men was shot in the torso and the other in the arm.

Queensland Ambulance Service told NCA NewsWire “two patients have been allegedly wounded from possible gunshots”.

“One has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition and the other is still being assessed on the scene,” the spokesperson said.

Police are investigating the incident.
