National Cabinet a ‘shared accountability mechanism’ for state-federal decisions

Mr Cullen said it would also function as a “shared accountability device” for the state and federal governments and as an opportunity for each to “reset” and move forwards. “We know historically state governments are generally better and more experienced when it comes to service delivery so maybe the Commonwealth … will give the states a bit more of a prominent role.”
