A crime scene has been established at a blazing home north of Brisbane, with one person feared dead.
A person is feared dead and a crime scene has been established following a house fire in a suburb north of Brisbane.
The blaze ripped through a house in Hervey St, North Lakes, some 29km north of Brisbane, on Friday with Queensland Ambulance Service saying they received a call at 10.24am.
A QAS spokeswoman said they had not yet treated any patients but were still on the scene.
Police have cordoned off the area, blocking off several streets surrounding the property.
“We have declared a crime scene,” a police spokesman told NCA NewsWire.
NewsWire understands one person is still unaccounted for although police said they “could not confirm” if someone had died in the fire.
“We are treating the fire as very serious,” he said.
