A mystery person has purchased a winning lotto ticket and is yet to check their numbers and realise they are $1.1 million richer.
Someone in Sydney has won $1.1 million in the lottery, but is yet to realise it.
The mystery person – either a Winston Hills local or visitor – purchased the ticket at the Winston Hills Newsagency.
They woke up on Monday completely unaware they were $1.1 million richer.
The player held one of the five division-one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4147, drawn on April 17.
Each division-one winning entry scored $1,145,653.
Because the winning ticket was unregistered The Lott officials have “no way of contacting the winner” to break the news.
Winston Hills Newsagency team member Barbara Veitch urged customers to check their tickets.
“We were so excited when we discovered we’d sold a division one winning entry,” she said.
“We would love to know who our winner is. I certainly hope they come forward soon.”
The Lott spokeswoman Lauren Cooney said she was eager to unite the region’s newest millionaire with their prize.
“It’s likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve just won $1.1 million,” she said.
“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve just won $1.1 million. Your plans for the rest of the year could certainly change with those extra digits in your bank account.
“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox, because you could be the winner we are searching for.”
The person holding the winning ticket should phone The Lott on 131 868.
The winning numbers were 5, 33, 17, 13, 44 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 35.
